Thirteen representatives from Thajeeb tribe of Yemen, came to visit Prophet (May peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Prophet hosted them nicely and assigned Bilal (May Allah be pleased with him) for their help. They learned many things from prophet and were ready to return to their tribe to teach them what they have learned. Prophet advised his companions to present each of them with gifts better than what he used to give to any other representative groups. He inquired if any one had left to get the gift.
“Yes, the boy who guards our vehicles outside”
“Please ask him to come over”.
They took that boy to Prophet. He introduced himself.
“I am from Abadee tribe. You have given all members of our group with whatever they need. Will you give me what I need too?”
“Indeed, What are your needs?”
My needs are different from that of my friends. Though they came out of their love for Islam, I came here so that Allah’s prophet will pray for me to get my sins forgiven, to have mercy of Allah upon me and to have Allah put contentment in my heart .

Marriage is never an easy thing. We think of it as this amazing romantic bliss that we will somehow attain one day.
Sisters dream of marrying that amazing brother who has the character of the Messenger of Allaah (sallAllaahu 'alayhi wa sallam), the Eemaan of Aboo Bakr, the courage of Hamzah, the wealth of 'AbdiRahmaan bin 'Awf but the fact still remains, everyone wants to marry that one truly amazing person and it is not much different for guys.
We wish to bump into a Hoor al-'Een that has lost her way from Jannah. I mean why wouldn't that ever happen? It won't happen, because you are daydreaming bro that's why.
Now wake up and listen to this short lesson in some important "Do's and Dont's" along with other useful information inshaaAllaah.

#8 AVOID FACEBOOK SPOUSES
And any other social network for that matter
Since we spend most of our time online these days, it is very easy to try to fulfil all our needs online, even the need of finding a soul mate. Now don't get me wrong, there are marriages who actually do work out, and I am not by any means hating on brothers and sisters who made it work (whatever floats your boats akhis and ukthis, just keep it halaal), but let's face it, the Internet is a very weird place.
Everyone always tries to seem holier than they really are, even a Kaafir could pretend to be Muslim scholar for all you know.  In the good old days people married other people who they actually knew, and life was much more smooth, in very broad terms.
But today you marry someone who comes across as religious online only to find out on your wedding night he isn't really that strict on Salah, oh and did I mention he has tons of friends who just happen to be girls? And not to mention he smokes (sorry forgot to tell you that too, my bad) the point is, be very careful concerning ANY online proposals.
If the person is serious and a good guy, drop them your wali's number and don't communicate with them anymore, then you'll know if the person is really a gentleman or not.

Many people mistakenly assume that true wealth and real treasure is that of money. It is indeed true that wealth is a great blessing from Allāh which He bestows upon His servants. And the one who earns it purely, and spends it properly, and gives it to those that deserve it, without a doubt earns a great reward from Allāh.
But at the same time, wealth is not the greatest blessing that can be given to mankind. Furthermore, no matter how much wealth a person has, eventually it will leave him, and pass on into the hands of others.
The Prophet (ṣallallāhu `alayhi wa-sallam) reminded us of this when he asked the Companions, "Who amongst you loves the money of his inheritors more than his own money?" [1]
They replied, "O Messenger of Allāh! There is no one of us except that he loves his own money more than he loves the money of his inheritors." So the Prophet (ṣallallāhu `alayhi wa-sallam) replied, "But his money is only that which he sent forth, and the money of his inheritors is what he left behind." [2]
So in reality most of the money that a person owns will eventually end up in the hands of his or her inheritors, and only that part which was spent for the sake of Allāh will actually benefit one in the hereafter.
Allāh emphasizes this point in the Qur'ān with the teaching that,
"Wealth and children are the adornments of the life of this world. But the permanent righteous deeds are better in your Lord's Sight (to attain) rewards, and better in respect of hope."[Sūrah al-Kahf, 46]
So money and children can be a comfort and a pleasure of this life, but righteous deeds are what will remain permanently — not one's family or wealth. It is these righteous deeds which will bring a person Allāh's Pleasure, and through which a person can hope for an ever-lasting reward in the Hereafter. The Qur'ān clearly states,
"And it is not your wealth, nor your children that bring you nearer to Us, but only he (will please Us) who believes, and does righteous deeds; for such (people), there will be a double reward for what they did, and they will reside in the high dwellings (of Paradise), in peace and security." [Sūrah Sabā', 37]
The great student of Ibn `Abbās (raḍiyallāhu anhu), Qatādah as-Sadūsī, said commenting on this verse,
"So do not judge people based on the amount of money and children they have! Even a disbeliever might be given money, whereas the Muslim has been withheld from it. [3]
In a well-known and oft-repeated parable, the Qur'ān compares the life of this world to a crop that flourishes after rainfall, only to wither up and shrivel in a short period of time. The Qur'ān states,
"Realize that the life of this world is only play and amusement, pomp and mutual boasting among you, and rivalry in respect of wealth and children. It is like the vegetation (that sprouts forth) after rain, whose growth is pleasing to the disbeliever. Soon it dries up, and you see it turning yellow, then it becomes straw. But in the Hereafter (there is) a severe torment (for the disbelievers), and (there is) forgiveness from Allāh and (His) Good Pleasure (for the believers). And indeed, the life of this world is only a deceiving enjoyment."

(Riwayat Ibnu Majah)

Hadis ini juga memberi dua maksud umtama:
- Perintah berbuat baik kepada ahli keluarga.
- Pemberitahunan bahawa Rasulullah s.a.w. model terbaik dalam membimbing keluarga.

Why are we tested?
Allah subhanahu wa ta`la, exalted and free from imperfection is He, states that every man and woman will be tested with difficulties, hardship and loss in life. Allah tests us for the following reasons:

  1. To distinguish between those who sincerely believe in Allah and those who don't.
  2. "Do people think that they will be left alone because they say: 'We believe and we will not be tested'?" (Qur'an, Al-Ankabut, 29:2)
  3. To encourage mankind to strive to do good deeds.
  4. "Who has created death and life that He may test who is best in deed." (Qur'an, Al-Mulk 67:2)
  5. To purify the soul and expiate sins.
  6. "Whatever trouble, illness, anxiety, grief, pain and sorrow afflict a Muslim, even if it is the pricking of a thorn - Allah removes some of his sins because of it." (Narrated by Abu Sa`eed al-Khudri, Bukhari and Muslim)
  7. To distinguish between those who believe in the Hereafter (akhirah) and those who do not.
  8. "...We might test him who believes in the Hereafter from him who is in doubt concerning it: and the Lord watches over all things (All-Knower of everything i.e. He keeps record of each and every person as regards to deeds and then He will reward them accordingly.)" (Qur'an, Saba 34:21)
  9. For believers to earn the reward of Paradise (Jannah), if they remain patient and faithful to Allah throughout adversity.
  10. "Did you think that you would enter Paradise without Allah testing those of you who fought hard in His cause and (also) test those who are as-Sabireen (the patient ones)?" (Qur'an, Al-`Imran 3:142)
Tests for Believers and Non-Believers
As mentioned before Allah subhanahu wa ta`la tests his creation to distinguish between those who have faith and those who do not. The stronger they are in faith, the more He will test them. Although this may seem unfair, Allah is never unjust.

The more He tests the believers, the more He will reward them in return. The opportunities to earn the rewards of Allah are equal for both men and women. However, the rewards for believers and non-believers (or disbelievers) are quite different. Rewards for non-believers are only awarded in this life, whereas the rewards for believers are rewarded in this life and in the Hereafter (akhirah).

The life often feels like a prison to the true believer because of all the Islamic restrictions, sacrifices, and severe hardships he has to endure. His life is spent in constant struggle between his own wanton desires and his moral conscience. However, Allah is aware of all his efforts and self-sacrifice and will either rewards for it in this life or in the Hereafter (or both). Every times a believer makes a sacrifice for Allah's sake, he sins will be expiated. A good deed will be written for him and its reward multiplied hundreds of times. Allah provides incentives such as these to encourage us to strive harder and make more and more sacrifices in our lives.

If a person embraces Islam sincerely, then Allah shall forgive all his past sins, and after that starts the settlement of accounts: the reward of his good deeds will be ten times to several hundred times for each good deed, and an evil deed will be recorded as it is, unless Allah forgives it too out of His Mercy.
Worship consists of three levels of belief and striving:
  1. Islam - total submission and obedience to Allah.
  2. Imaan - true faith consisting of belief in the heart, speech of the tongue and action of the limbs.
  3. Ihsaan - perfection of worship, doing good deeds as though you see Allah, and if you cannot achieve this feeling or attitude then you must remember that He sees you.

Every believer should try to live his life according to these basic levels of worship.

Question:  What are the best ways a muslim can thank Allah for all the blessings HE has bestowed on us.
Praise be to Allaah.

Firstly:
Thanks or gratitude means reciprocating kindness and giving praise to the one who has done good and kind things. The one who is most deserving of thanks and praise from people is Allaah, may He be glorified and exalted, because of the great favours and blessings that He has bestowed upon His slaves in both spiritual and worldly terms. Allaah has commanded us to give thanks to Him for those blessings, and not to deny them. He says (interpretation of the meaning):
“Therefore remember Me (by praying, glorifying). I will remember you, and be grateful to Me (for My countless Favours on you) and never be ungrateful to Me”
[al-Baqarah 2:152]

Secondly:
The greatest ones who obeyed this command, and gave thanks to their Lord until they deserved to be described as shaakir and shakoor (thankful) are the Prophets and Messengers (blessings and peace of Allaah be upon him).
Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“Verily, Ibraaheem (Abraham) was an Ummah (a leader having all the good righteous qualities), or a nation, obedient to Allaah, Haneef (i.e. to worship none but Allaah), and he was not one of those who were Al‑Mushrikoon (polytheists, idolaters, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allaah, and those who joined partners with Allaah).
121. (He was) thankful for His (Allaah’s) Favours. He (Allaah) chose him (as an intimate friend) and guided him to a Straight Path (Islamic Monotheism — neither Judaism nor Christianity)”
[al-Nahl 16:120, 121]
“O offspring of those whom We carried (in the ship) with Nûh (Noah)! Verily, he was a grateful slave”
[al-Isra’ 17:3]

Looking attentively to the biography of the Prophet – peace be upon him – you will find that he was extending a great deal respect to his wives and was paying high attention, care and love toward them.

He was the best example for the ideal manners toward the wife. He was comforting his wives, wiping their tears, respecting their emotions, hearing their words, caring for their complaints, alleviating their sadness, going in picnics with them, racing with them, bearing their abandonment, discussing matters with them, keeping their dignity, supporting them in emergencies, declaring his love to them and was very happy with such love. Here are some attractive examples and shining moments in his life:

Knowing their Feelings

The Prophet – Peace be upon him – was telling Aisha – May Allah be pleased with her: "I know well when you are pleased or angry from me. Aisha replied: How you know that? He said: When you are pleased with me you swear by saying "By the God of Mohammad" but when you are angry you swear by saying "By the God of Ibrahim". She said: You are right, I just desert you name. In another narration the same tradition ended by saying: "No, by the God of Ibrahim".

Understanding their Jealousy & Love

Umm Salama – May Allah be pleased with her – narrated: she brought food in a dish of her own to the Prophet – Peace be upon him – and his companions. Seeing that, Aisha came holding a tool and broke the dish out of jealousy. Understanding the situation, the Prophet took the two halves of the dish and said to his companions: Eat your food, it is just the jealousy of your mother, then the Prophet took the dish of Aisha and gave it to Um Salama and gave the dish of Um Salama to Aisha.

1. Jangan putus asa

At a time in which the Muslims are beset with trials from every periphery, it is a time when Muslims should continue being Muslims, only better Muslims. I would say to my dear brothers and sisters in Islam “don’t be Sad”; if you are on the true religion – believing in One God and all the Messengers sent to mankind, then don’t be sad.
“…Bear with patience whatever befalls you….” (Qur’an 31:17)
and
“Be not sad, surely Allah is with us.” (Qur’an 9:40)
Our Prophet (peace be upon him) said
Verily, if Allah loves a people, He makes them go through trials. Whoever is satisfied, for him is contentment, and whoever is angry upon him is wrath.” [Tirmidhi]

Being sad is not encouraged in Islam

Allah Subhana wa’taala said:

“So do not become weak, nor be sad…” (Qur’an 3:139)
“And grieve not over them, and be not distressed because of what they plot.” (Qur’an 16:127)
Sadness prevents one from action instead of compelling one towards it. The heart does not benefit through grief. The most beloved thing to the devil is to hinder the worshipper in the path of Allah. The Muslim must repel sadness and fight in any way that is permissible in Islam.

The Prophet (salah allahu ‘alayhi wa salam) said: “The most beloved of people to Allah is the one who brings most benefit to people, and the most beloved of deeds to Allah is making a Muslim happy, or relieving him of hardship, or paying off his debt, or warding off hunger from him. For me to go with my Muslim brother to meet his need is dearer to me than observing i’tikaaf in this mosque – meaning the mosque of Madinah – for a month…whoever goes with his Muslim brother to meet his need, Allah will make him stand firm on the Day when all feet will slip.”
